At Paramount Dental Sydney we can shape and lift your eyebrows without any surgery. Originally, the only method of lifting brows was by surgery where an incision would be made to the hair line, and the forehead pulled backwards to lift the brows.
More recently it became possible for that procedure to be performed via keyhole surgery but new anti-wrinkle injections and facial fillers have now enabled us to non-surgically lift the eyebrows and rejuvenate your eye area.
How will the treatment enhance my eyes?
Enhancement to your eyes is done in two stages: with an anti-wrinkle injection followed by a facial filler. Anti-wrinkle injections will relax some of the muscles around your eyes to help create an overall lift in the eyebrows. There are specific muscles that hold the eyebrows down, especially the muscle surrounding the eye, known as orbicularis oculi. By carefully injecting the anti-wrinkle serum into these muscles, the eyebrows are released from this downward pull, and the forehead muscles (frontalis muscle) can lift the eyebrows up without being restrained. This leads to an increase of a few millimetres in eyebrow height.
The second stage involves an injection of a facial filler underneath your eyebrow, this will provide support to the eyebrow elevating it. This injection will also soften the bony orbital rim around the eyebrows, leading to a softer and more youthful appearance. We may also inject facial fillers into the middle half of the upper lid to help reduce the sag of the eyelids.
What to expect during an eyebrow lift
Treatment will be administered via several injections across the facial region and you may also be given dental anaesthetics which will cause numbness to parts of your face for several hours, before wearing off completely.
The treatments here at Paramount Dental Sydney are designed to provide a very natural, safe enhancement. Please be aware that additional treatment may be required to fully address your areas of concern and this will be reviewed and administered at your follow up appointment, 2 weeks after your treatment. It is likely that you would need to pay for additional treatments.
Preparing for an eyebrow enhancement
For at least two week before your scheduled treatment avoid anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications (Aspirin, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wart, Omega-3 Fish Oils, Ibuprofen) and it is also essential to avoid all alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours prior to treatment.
