There's A Better Way of Doing Dentistry

We’ve come a long way

Fear of the dentist is very real but often stems from stories of dental visits that happened many years ago. These days, treatments are far more sophisticated meaning visits are often extremely fast and pain free.

At Paramount Dental Sydney one of the first things our patients often say after treatment is along the lines of “oh, is that it?”. Long gone are the days of scary-looking equipment, painful needles, time consuming x-rays and cold, sterile clinics.

Here we set the record straight about what to expect from dental appointments in 2022.

The clinic

We’ve all seen the images where a dental practice looks like a scene out of a horror movie – flickering fluorescent lights, babies crying, patient running out in tears…. well that couldn’t be further from the truth at Paramount Dental. Here you can expect to be greeted into an inner-city oasis complete with comfortable lounges, scented candles filling each room and calming music.

Consultation

Whether it’s for emergency treatment or a general check-up, this is the most important part where your dentist will listen to you and ask questions to commence the appropriate treatment.

This is also a great opportunity to express any dental fears you may have so they can do what they can to accommodate you and make the process as easy as possible.

Treatment

Dental treatments have come so far in the last 10 years and are far less invasive through advancements in technology. Even x-rays can be done in chair and the results can be seen instantly.

Orthodontics

Once upon a time if you needed to straighten your teeth, you’d potentially be leaving with giant metal braces with a head brace. Braces these days can be far more hidden with multiple options that will suit your lifestyle.

Follow-ups

No matter the treatment, we want to know that you’re feeling ok afterwards and we’ll give you a friendly call to discuss any issues.

Payment options

One of the best advancements in the dental world is the ability to provide patients with flexible payment options. It is quite common for patients to put off treatment hoping it will just go away with time (it rarely does) to avoid financial strain. With many “buy now, pay later” options, this is no longer an issue.

It’s clear you can now throw away your preconceived ideas of what a dentist visit is going to be like and stop putting off appointments – your teeth deserve it. If you still have doubts, give us a call as we’d be more than happy to alleviate any concerns.
